How you can help
Kerith Retreats relies on volunteers in order to operate and provide the best experience to guests. If you would like to donate a few hours, a few days or an entire week of your time, your efforts will be a huge blessing for our guests.
For those who would have to travel a distance, we can provide accommodations while you volunteer your time with us.
Here are a few ways you can help:
-
Host couple

Kerith Pines & Kerith Creek
Do you have the gift of hospitality? Do you love to serve, care for, and pamper others? Do you enjoy working “behind the scenes” to support guests as they move from a place of exhaustion or despair to hope and joy?
We are looking for volunteer couple who have hearts of hospitality and grace to help us meet the physical needs of our retreat guests during their stay. Our retreats are a maximum of 8 days long, running from Tuesday to Tuesday, with some preparation and cleaning required before, during, and after the retreat. A standard menu is planned, groceries are on-site, and some basic food preparation is already completed before the host couple arrives. Training is provided and a walk-through manual of recipes, pictures, set-up guidelines, and other helpful information is also available.
We would love to talk to you more about our retreats and this unique opportunity to combine your skills, interests, and desire to serve. For more information, please email [email protected]

Host coordinators

Kerith Creek
Do you have experience planning a menu and writing out detailed instructions? Do you have an eye for esthetics and sometimes find yourself creating a piece of art as you arrange food on the dinner plates before serving them? Do you enjoy working with people and coordinating a team of other volunteers? Have you ever memorized how a guest likes their coffee and surprised them the next time they came to visit?
Kerith Creek is looking for a volunteer couple to lead our team of host couples in Alberta. This position also involves hosting up to 8 guests at our week-long retreats, some clean-up after the retreats, training new host couples in their role, and arranging for a couple to host when you are away. The Host Coordinators also take care of all grocery shopping and food orders in preparation for each retreat. A standard menu and step-by-step retreat manual are already in place, however updates may be needed from time to time.
We would love to talk to you more about how our retreats minister to people throughout our community and the way that this team can provide you with an opportunity to combine your skills, interests, and desire to serve. For more information, please email [email protected]
